Guam Collectors Plate - Bread Plate sale!

This interesting and unique mid century collector plate depicts a Guam scene, in vibrant colors which seem to accurately depict the colors of the territory. About bread plate size, it is a water scene with a bridge, palm trees and mountain range in pink behind.

Painted by Japanese artist Hitomi, this was possibly a souvenir brought back by a serviceman. It is signed by the artist on the front, and also bears the word "Guam".

Backstamped "Made in Japan" in red, it comes with holes for hanging. This was a set of three plates, all of which are for sale here. Buy all three for a 20% rebate!

Dimensions: Measures approximately 7" in diameter.

Condition: In very good vintage condition. No cracks, chips or repairs. There was a gilt edge to the design which has almost worn away, and one 1/16" area of paint is missing. These are minor faults on a very pretty and eye-catching plate.
