This interesting and unique mid century collector plate depicts a Guam scene of pastures and water, with a purple mountain range in the background. This is a miniature plate, yet the details are just as vibrant as on the larger plates we have here.

Hand painted by Japanese artist Hitomi, this was possibly a souvenir brought back by a serviceman. It is signed by the artist on the front, and also bears the word "Guam".

Backstamped "Made in Japan" in red, it comes with holes for hanging. This was a set of three plates, all of which are for sale here. Buy all three for a 20% rebate!

Dimensions: Measures approximately 4" in diameter.

Condition: In very good vintage condition. No cracks, chips or repairs. There is a slight impression on the face of the plate, which is an overpainted factory flaw. There was gilt edging to the design which has mostly worn away. Close inspection shows the surface of the design is slightly roughened. These are minor faults to what is a pretty little plate.
